SCHOOL DESCRIPTION:
Evangelical Christian School(ECS) is a private, college preparatory, interdenominational Christian school.  All faculty are certified by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) which is recognized by the State of Florida. ECS is not connected to an individual church and has 104 local churches represented in the student body.

The ECS campus is centrally located in the heart of Fort Myers, Florida, easily accessible from route 41, between College Parkway and Colonial Boulevard.  Just minutes away from Edison State College and 30 minutes from Florida Gulf Coast University, ECS is conveniently located near I-75, off exit 136.  The school is located on a 28-acre campus.

FACILITIES:   
The facilities are designed to give each student the opportunity to receive the best quality education.  The buildings are equipped with large classrooms, science labs, technology labs, music rooms, and specialty classrooms catering to art and drama.  The Sentinels Sportsplex boasts a multi-court gymnasium, football/soccer stadium, 1/4 metric mile track, baseball diamond, batting cage, men’s and women’s weight training centers, wrestling practice facility, and home and visitors’ locker rooms for men and women.

Admission to ECS is selective.  The Admissions Committee carefully examines each candidate’s prior academic record, standardized test results, and recommendations to determine his or her potential for success at the school.  ECS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, handicap, or national origin in the administration of its educational policies, or any other program administered by the school.

SENTINEL SCHOLAR DIPLOMA:   
This program was designed for those students that seek to go beyond a college preparatory tract.  This program is composed of three different levels (Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Summa Cum Laude) with each level requiring specific accomplishments.


ADVANCED PLACEMENT:   
Students scored an 88% passing rate on all Advanced Placement test taken last year.


INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE:   
Students have the opportunity for travel through the International Student Leadership Institute.  This program aims to develop leadership skills and opens students’ hearts to a world in need.
