Scott Northcutt
Our first F.O.ECS

Scott, who graduated from a school that shall remain nameless in 1982, is the impetus behind our newest division of former students – F.O.ECS or Friends Of ECS. (Pronounced Folks) His letter asking to be a kind of “pseudo alumni” prompted us to open up the F.O.ECS chapter. Scott was with us from 4th grade through 8th grade. He was in the same class as Dr. John Hunte. Like many, he still has fond memories of the school, the teachers and the other students. He wants to keep up on what is happening at ECS.. So here he is, featured in the first of hopefully many pages of F.O.ECS.

After high school, Scott went on to USF and earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He now works for Honeywell in Clearwater, FL. He met his wife, Ruth ,at St. Pete Junior College. She taught him in the piano class he signed up for. They married in 1996 and adopted a 10 month old daughter, Ana, in 2005 from Chongquing, China. In Scott's words, she is “24k gold”.

In his free time between work and family, Scott is working on his MBA. The family attends a small church called Seminole Christian Fellowship where Scott and Ruth lead the worship.

If you, like Scott, left before your time, join us anyway. We have a special place for you. Come be one of our F.O.ECS.

Joshua Dorcey---FOECS

Attorney Joshua Dorcey has a heritage deeply ingrained in Southwest Florida as his Great Grandfather homesteaded on Matlacha nearly a hundred years ago.  He is the third generation of his family raised in Ft Myers. It is this heritage that drew him back here to set up his law practice.

Before returning home Josh earned his Bachelors of Science in Business   Administration with a minor in Communication  Studies from Samford   University in Birmingham, Alabama.

After college Joshua moved up through the corporate ranks and excelled  in his positions as Director of Marketing for Delco Financial Services and   Inches-A-Weigh, Inc.  He also served as Vice-President of Sales for Med-Alliance, LLC and Business Manager for Dorcey and Associates, LLC.

Thereafter, he earned his Juris Doctorate from Liberty University School of Law in Lynchburg, Virginia. In his final year of law school Joshua was awarded the highest honor by his professors when they selected him as the top Business Planning and Transactional Services student in the school.  After passing the Florida Bar, Josh practiced for another local law firm working in Real Estate and Business Litigation before he saw the vision for his own  firm.

Joshua focuses his legal practice in the area of Estate Planning, Business Planning and Small Business Litigation. He has helped hundreds of  residents of the Southwest Florida community in the preparation and completion of their simple and in depth Estate Plans, Business Plans and Litigation Matters.

Though actually a graduate of a school that shall remain nameless, Joshua credits the good start he got at ECS as part of what has helped him succeed in his chosen profession. He loves the school and hopes to remain active as a part of the FOECS group.

Kimberly Morris Hale-- FOECS

Another member of our FOECS group, Kim was with us for many years and maintains a close relation ship with her friends on the faculty.  Kimberly and Bryan Hale were married in 2004. Bryan graduated from Mariner High School in 1999 and Kimberly would have graduated at ECS in 1990, but went to Bishop Verot for her Senior Year. They have two children.  Logan was born in June of 2005 and attends preschool at ECS. Hunter joined the family in May 2008. Kimberly graduated from International College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.  They are currently living in Buckingham, but hope to move to Georgia or South Carolina in the near future. They are both working for the family business (air conditioning) even though Bryan's goal is to work in IT again.
