STUDENT LIFE
STUDENT LIFE
ECS focuses on the whole child by encouraging extra curricular activities. By doing so, our students are challenged beyond the classroom by developing leadership and social skills. At Evangelical Christian School, students can make their experience as small as they want or as big they want. There are ongoing clubs, groups, and activities which means the student body is actively engaged in more than one avenue, and there are ample opportunities for students to try new things. Students can participate in planning pep rallies, supporting student-athletes, promoting school pride, planning creative service outings for their classmates, and so much more!
Student Senate
Each class, grades 6-11, elect Class Senators in the spring to serve on the Student Senate for the following year. Class Senators are expected to be in harmony with the objectives of the school at all times and are expected to attend all class and school functions.
Student Senate participates in a wide variety of activities throughout the course of the school year. The members of the Student Senate attend regularly scheduled special luncheons featuring guest speakers from the community focusing on Christian leadership. Additionally, the students fundraise for different charities and are very active in the planning for homecoming week.
To be a candidate for a Senator, compliance with the following regulations is required:
• Recommendation by teachers
• A student at ECS for at least one semester
• Excellent character qualities
• Leadership ability
• Promoter of school spirit
• “Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.”
