Traci Daley has been a resident of SW Florida since 2003. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Bloomsburg University, and a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis. She has been a real estate agent with Palm Paradise Real Estate since 2017.
Traci and her husband Joe have three daughters who are graduates of ECS. She has served in a variety of roles at ECS over the years, and is humbled to serve the school in this capacity as a board member.
Jarred is a 2006 graduate of ECS. Thereafter, he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida Gulf Coast University, and a law degree from the New York University School of Law. After graduating from law school, Jarred returned to Fort Myers and worked at two of the best law firms in Southwest Florida before forming his own law firm, Davies Duke, PLLC, in 2021. Jarred’s practice focuses on business litigation, with a concentration on real estate matters.
ECS holds a special place in Jarred’s life. Not only did ECS provide a tough, Christ-centered education and the opportunity to participate in several sports, but it also introduced him to his wife, Jacey (Montgomery) Duke. In his capacity as a board member, Jarred hopes to preserve the traditions that have made ECS the go-to Christian school in Southwest Florida, while ensuring that the school prospers in the coming years.
Babu John is the founder and president of Asha Mission Society. “Asha” means “hope” in Hindi. Babu and his wife, Lijy have three daughters who have attended ECS since kindergarten. Pastor Babu started a school many years ago in Delhi, India and was principal of the school for many years. Babu is a former board member of Hope Givers International and is currently the minister for a small Indian congregation in Fort Myers. He has been an active missionary and evangelist for more than twenty-five years and has been the keynote speaker at many colleges, universities, and churches across the United States and other places around the world.
- Jonathan Walters is a 2003 graduate of ECS. Thereafter, he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Construction Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is currently a Florida licensed contractor and is serving as the President of Royal Corinthian Homes, a custom home building firm based in Fort Myers, FL. He and his wife, Gabrielle, reside in Fort Myers with their 3 sons. All 3 boys currently attend ECS.
- Jonathan is currently serving as a Deacon and a member of the Renovation Committee at Providence Christian Church in Cape Coral. He has previously served in similar church roles during his time living in Mississippi.
- Jonathan is excited about being a member of the board and helping ECS hold onto its longstanding core values of being a Biblically based school that provides a solid Christian education. While at the same time, he is looking forward to helping the school recognize growth opportunities and capitalize on those in order for the school to be prosperous and fruitful for years to come.
Randy Simmons grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and was educated at Lipscomb High School and University. His ministry work began as a part-time Youth Minister and then preached for churches in Chapel Hill and McMinnville, Tennessee, before accepting the preaching ministry at Gulf Coast Church of Christ in Fort Myers in 1984. He is still serving in that ministry role.
Randy is the author of four books that have sold nearly a half-million copies. He has served on the Boards of Leadership and Church Growth, Inc. and Genesis Three Christian Counseling Center. He also served a previous stint on the Board of ECS.
Randy is married to the love of his life, Dianne, and they have two sons who attended ECS (Scott and Matt), as well as four grandsons. Randy has a deep love for ECS and is excited about helping serve in the coming years.
Janet Schappell, originally from upstate New York, has been a resident of southwest Florida for over 30 years. During that time, she and her husband, Martin, raised two children, Matthew and Lindsay. Matthew attended ECS and graduated in 2011.
Janet earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hope College and a master’s degree in community counseling from Georgia State University. She practiced as a marriage and family therapist early in her career. While raising her children, she participated in the ministry of Community Bible Study. For over 25 years, she served in various leadership roles, including that of the Teaching Director. Most recently, in 2024, Janet completed a master’s degree in biblical studies from Asbury Theological Seminary.
Janet has always been a supporter of christian education and is honored to return to the board of ECS for a second term.
