Head Varsity Soccer Coach
Paul Sparke

Originally from the Cincinnati, Ohio area, Coach Paul Sparke brings a wealth of both playing and coaching experience to the ECS Boys Soccer program. As a player, Sparke was a four-year varsity starter at Archbishop Moeller High School and went on to become a four-year starter at Capital University, where he served as a two-year team captain. His collegiate career was marked by conference, regional, and national recognition, reflecting his leadership and high-level performance on the field.

Paul’s passion for the game has taken him far beyond the U.S., having played soccer in Italy and Brazil, enriching his understanding of the sport’s global nature. That experience now fuels his coaching—an approach that combines technical excellence, competitive drive, and a Christ-centered foundation.

Before joining ECS, Coach Sparke led competitive high school and club teams, earning Region Coach of the Year honors and guiding programs to regional semifinal appearances. Known for his tactical insight and strong mentorship, Sparke cultivates teams defined by discipline, unity, and spiritual maturity.

“Every player matters,” Sparke shares. “Our mission is to build a culture where faith fuels focus, and where character wins as much as the scoreboard.”

Now residing in Fort Myers with his wife, two children, and their family dog, Coach Sparke is committed to growing the ECS soccer program into one that reflects excellence in competition and strength in faith.
