Dear ECS Family,

We are thrilled to announce that construction will begin on the Beacon campus sometime in the next few weeks. The construction company is waiting on one final permit.

This phase of the project will address the following:

• Expanded 3rd street entrance/exit
• Create a new 4th street entrance/exit
• Roundabout for traffic flow
• Improved parking and pick-up/drop-off area

To finish this phase of the project by the start of school in August, construction must begin soon. The construction company will need to close the 3rd street entrance and the east parking area off South Rd. They will be creating a new temporary roadway to enter the back of the school (see map below). We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause but this is required to fulfill the building requirements of the county.

Lower School Pick Up/Drop Off Procedures:

As we enter Phase 1 of our parking lot project, All families with students in the 4th and 5th grades will be dismissed from the front entrance. This decision is necessary due to limited space caused by ongoing construction and road closures in the area.

We encourage parents of 4th and 5th graders with middle school students to communicate with your middle school students about pickup in the front parking lot. This will help ensure that all students are picked up efficiently and safely.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and support during this transition. Our primary aim is to ensure a smooth adjustment process from now until the end of the school year as we navigate these changes together.

The completion of this phase will help alleviate a lot of the traffic congestion and will provide a better experience for our families and students next year.
