Student Senate: Servant Leaders in Action

At Evangelical Christian School, Student Senate gives students in grades 6–11 the opportunity to grow as leaders, planners, and Christ-centered influencers within the school community. Each spring, students elect Class Senators to represent their peers for the upcoming academic year. Senators are expected to uphold the values and mission of ECS and to actively participate in all class and school events.

Throughout the year, the Student Senate is involved in a wide range of meaningful activities, including community service projects, charitable fundraising, and school spirit initiatives. One of their key roles is planning and organizing events for Homecoming Week. Senate members also attend leadership luncheons featuring guest speakers from the local community who challenge and encourage students to grow in their faith, leadership, and civic engagement.

This program not only fosters student voice and responsibility but also helps develop young leaders who are prepared to make an impact for Christ both now and in the future.

To be a candidate for a Senator, compliance with the following regulations is required:

• Recommendation by teachers

• A student at ECS for at least one semester

• Excellent character qualities

• Promoter of school spirit

• “Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.”
