MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS

Thank you for your generosity with our first semester mission project. Our students were able to sort over 6,500 items and fill 308 shoeboxes! There was excitement in the air at our packing party as students sorted the items, assembled the boxes, filled the boxes, and prayed for the children receiving the boxes. Thank you for helping us show God’s love to others in this tangible way.

Can you believe we are halfway through our 2nd quarter of school? Please be sure to monitor grades and attendance in RenWeb. Also, mark your calendars for upcoming semester exams on December 18 – 20. Be sure to schedule your holiday travels for after semester exams!

HIGH SCHOOL NEWS

Sharing Hope, Sharing Jesus

Thank you to everyone who donated items for our recent service project, Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. ECS packed over 800 shoeboxes that will be distributed to children all over the world. The best part is that these children will not only receive a shoebox of goodies, but more importantly, will hear the gospel. What a blessing to be part of sharing hope and sharing Jesus!

*To make things fun, we had a little competition between homerooms to see which one could bring in the most items for our shoebox project. Mrs. Mooney’s homeroom brought in the most items for our shoeboxes so earned a dress down day and donuts on Monday, November 27th. On this day, students in Mrs. Mooney’s homeroom may wear school appropriate jeans with an ECS shirt and sneakers of their choice. Good work, Mrs. Mooney’s homeroom!

Thanksgiving Break

It’s hard to believe, but we have already made it to Thanksgiving break. This means that we are more than midway through the 2nd quarter. This is a great time for parents and students to review grades and attendance records. Students may wish to take advantage of the free Help Classes offered by our teachers, if needed. Remember, if there are questions about a class, please reach out to the teacher.

Quarter 2 Ends with Midterm Exams

As a reminder, midterm exams are quickly approaching. Everyone should have received a copy of the midterm exam schedule via email from Mrs. Slater.

As a reminder, any and all missing/makeup work must be completed by end-of-day on Wednesday December 20th, as this will be the last day of the 2nd quarter. The office will close promptly at 4 pm.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! May every family enjoy time together and truly give thanks for the many blessings that God has given us. ECS is thankful for you!
