We are excited to announce that (5th grade) Hunter Huston was awarded with a Do The Right Thing Award from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. We are so proud of him! Way to go, Hunter!
We had a wonderful Spiritual Emphasis Week. Our focus for the week was learning more about God. God is creator, eternal, love, generous, caring, and trustworthy. Special thanks to Mr. Hess for speaking with our K4-5th graders and leading our time of prayer Wednesday morning. We are truly blessed.
It’s hard to believe that October is here! We have lots of fun events planned for our students and families this month.
Parents are invited to join us for Chapel on Thursday at 8:15 in the gym. We really enjoy our Chapel time. We have our Praise and Worship team leading us as we sing new songs, a time of pledges and prayer, special guest speakers, lessons on our monthly character qualities, Bible memory verses, and much more. Please plan on spending this special time with us each week.
October 2nd-6th is our Book Fair. We are happy to have Literati supplying our books again this year. They do a much better job of screening books to be age level and subject matter appropriate. Families are invited to shop at the Book Fair during our Parent – Teacher Social on Wednesday. We will have fun activities in the classroom and lots of food trucks so make sure to come hungry.
On Friday, October 13th we will be celebrating the completion of the 1st Quarter. We will have lots of bounce houses and inflatables in the gym for our K4-5th graders to enjoy. There will be an opportunity for parents to sign up to help supervise each grade level’s assigned time. We look forward to seeing lots of parents at this special celebration.
Yearbook retakes are Monday, October 16th. We will also have a special Fall Dress Up Picture Day for our K4-5th graders on Monday, October 23rd. All students will have their picture taken and parents will have the option to make online purchases. Students are asked to wear their Fall Best! Please make sure outfits are modest and fall within the handbook guidelines.
