ParentPulse

At Evangelical Christian School, we seek to constantly evaluate our school from multiple perspectives, all in an effort to make this an even better place for your child and your family.

Because the parent perspective is so important to us, we’ve partnered with ParentPulse, a company that specializes in collecting feedback for Christian schools.

Going forward, each parent in our school will receive an invitation every few months to respond to a short survey. These surveys will be staggered – parents will receive the invitations via email or text at different times.

We simply ask that you’d take five minutes to complete the survey. Many schools only send one (longer) survey each year, but we want to capture your thoughts and feelings in shorter surveys – and at multiple points over the year – so we can understand how things are evolving and how we can best adapt!

So, please be on the lookout for an email or text from ParentPulse. The subject line will clearly identify Evangelical Christian School.

The information you provide is collected solely for our analysis, and your personal contact information will not be used or shared by ParentPulse. There is also an option at the end of the survey to submit your responses anonymously.

Thank you for partnering with us in Christian education!

HIGH SCHOOL NEWS

There are many exciting things going on in high school at ECS! Yesterday, our students had the opportunity to meet and talk with representatives from 35 different Christian colleges. This is always a wonderful experience for our students. Through this event, students get a lot of valuable information and may just end up finding the college they want to attend. We hope students went home and shared at least a snippet of this event.

SAY CHEESE!
Seniors had their best smiles on yesterday and every hair in place for their senior yearbook portraits. If a Senior was absent, he/she needs to mark their calendars for the picture makeup day being held on October 16th.
Schoolwide pictures (grades 9-12) will be Monday, September 18th. Students should be in school uniform. Jackets, pullovers and/or hoodies may not be worn in school pictures. Students should be in code with their hair and our young men should be clean shaven. Anyone not in code may be required to have their school picture taken on the makeup/retake day on October 16th.
YEEHAW! HOMECOMING 2023
Howdy pardners! Homecoming Week 2023 is just around the corner! This year’s theme is The Wild West. Our Student Senate is working hard to plan the week’s events. Our banquet will be held on October 28th at the Crown Colony Golf & Country Club. Tickets for this event are on sale now! Tickets may be purchased at the high school desk. Anyone wishing to bring a date from outside of ECS must submit a signed Guest Permission Form to Mrs. Slater for approval.
JR. RETREAT- FINAL CALL!
Junior retreat is coming up on September 27th & 28th. If anyone were to ask an ECS alumni about their favorite memories from high school, the retreat would be one at the top of the list. The retreat is held at the Lake Placid Camp & Conference Center. It’s a great time of fun and fellowship. Anyone still wishing to attend the retreat should see Mrs. Castilla in the high school office by end of day, Monday, September 18th. Juniors…..you really do not want to miss this event!
INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP TRIP
Hi’ya everyone! We are excited to announce the relaunching of ECS’s International Student Leadership Program. This year’s travel destination is London, England. This is an incredible opportunity for our students to experience a new culture and to make connections with things they have learned in school. Travelers will get to see/visit sites like Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Warwick Castle, Stonehenge and many more! Students interested in being part of the Leadership Program should see Mrs. Slater for program and trip details asap!
