HELP SAVE WHO!!
SHOW DATES: April 27th-29th @ 7:00pm, April 29th @ 2:00pm
It’s that time of year…rehearsals and preparation for our ECS Spring Musical are in full swing! Every year, there are countless heroes behind the scenes who make the show and the weeks leading up to it an incredible expression of God’s creative and collaborative gifts among His people! This year is not different…we need YOU to help save WHO!
Below are volunteer opportunities, which you will receive Parent Service Hours for! Each job has a brief description. A more detailed description and timeline is available for those who inquire. You can sign up HERE!
PRODUCTION TEAMS:
COSTUMES
- Costume Coordinator: Communicate with Director for overall look of the show, oversee costume procurement (borrow, rent, instruct students to bring certain items from home.) Keep track of borrowed or rented costumes. Oversee set-up, maintenance, and cleaning of Costume Room and Dressing Areas. Recruit and oversee Costume Team Leads.
- “Who” Costume Team Lead: Oversee “Who” costumes borrowed from Fort Myers Theatre. Coordinate a time for fitting WHOS in their costumes. Track costumes.
- Costume Team Leads for Main Characters, Jungle Citizens, Circus Performers: Conceptualize with Director and find costumes for Jungle Citizens. Fit performers and track costumes.
SET
- Set Construction Coordinator: Design specifications of Set pieces with Director. Oversee construction, borrowing, renting of all set pieces.
- Set Construction Team Members: Help construct and paint set pieces. Times TBD by Set Construction Coordinator.
PROPS
- Props Master: Secure and track all props. Set up and label prop tables backstage.
HAIR/MAKE-UP
- Please sign up on our Google Doc for a time slot to help per performance.
BOX OFFICE
- Team Members: Work with our Box Office Manager prior to show on ticket sales strategies. Work during the performances at the Box Office, selling tickets and managing Will Call.
BOX OFFICE DECORATING
- Team Members: Please sign up on our Google Doc to work with Mrs. Gold on transforming the lobby of the Sentinel Gymnasium into the world of Seuss!
CONCESSIONS
- Concessions Coordinator: Oversee purchasing of inventory, set up, and managing of Concessions for all four performances. Concessions sold before the show and during intermission.
- Concession Team Members: Choose a time slot to work in Concessions.
FLOWERS
- Flower Sales Coordinator: Purchase, bundle, and sell flowers at all four performances – before the show and during intermission. Set up a flower display area next to concessions. Recruit Flower Team.
- Flower Team Members: Help set up and maintain the flower table. Sell flowers before the show and during intermission.
USHERS
- Head Usher: Under direction of the Box Office Manager. Recruit and train Ushers for orderly ticket taking and seating of each performance. Oversee layout and numbering of audience chairs. Maintain cleanliness of the “house” (Gym area where the audience sits.)
- Ushers: Please sign up for a performance on our Google Doc. Must be present from pre-performance to end of performance to take tickets, hand out Playbills, seat guests and help with clean up.
FOOD SERVICE
- Team Members: Help decorate the Cafeteria and serve meals.
- Donations: The Cast/Crew are served dinner during the week of the show. Meals are prepared and served by our Food Service Team! We need the food items listed on the Google Doc to be donated. Thank you!!
