The Sentinel Scholars Program at ECS challenges students to excel in academics, extra curricular involvement, and in opportunities to serve their community, both on-campus and in the broader Fort Myers area. Students must complete an application and write an essay as well as meet specific academic requirements for entrance into the program. 

Upon acceptance as a Sentinel Scholar candidate, students may pursue one of three levels of distinction throughout their high school career: Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Summa Cum Laude. Each level of the program contains more rigorous and engaging requirements. There are no specific yearly responsibilities within the program, but each Sentinel Scholar must monitor his/her progress towards meeting graduation level benchmarks throughout high school and submit a senior declaration during the spring of his/her senior year in order to be recognized at graduation.
