STUDENT LIFE

STUDENT LIFE

At Evangelical Christian School, Learning Goes Beyond the Classroom.

We believe in nurturing the whole child — spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. That’s why ECS encourages students to get involved in extracurricular activities that challenge them to lead, serve, and grow.

Whether it’s planning pep rallies, supporting fellow athletes, organizing service projects, or joining student-led clubs, ECS students are given the space to explore their interests and step into leadership.

Here, your experience can be as big as you dream it to be — with ongoing opportunities to try something new, build lasting friendships, and leave a meaningful impact.

At ECS…
Every student finds their place.
Every student finds their voice.

ECS HOUSE GAMES

Evangelical Christian School has partnered with the Ron Clark House System to create an exciting and unifying experience for students through our ECS House Games. Designed to build community, character, and school spirit, the House System places students into one of several “houses” that compete in friendly challenges throughout the year.

Rooted in the acclaimed model developed by the Ron Clark Academy, ECS House Games foster leadership, teamwork, and a deep sense of belonging—making every student feel known, valued, and connected. Points are earned through academics, behavior, service, and spirited competition, creating an environment where learning and character development are both celebrated.

Student Senate

Each class, grades 6-11, elect Class Senators in the spring to serve on the Student Senate for the following year. Class Senators are expected to be in harmony with the objectives of the school at all times and are expected to attend all class and school functions.

Student Senate participates in a wide variety of activities throughout the course of the school year. The members of the Student Senate attend regularly scheduled special luncheons featuring guest speakers from the community focusing on Christian leadership. Additionally, the students fundraise for different charities and are very active in the planning for homecoming week.

To be a candidate for a Senator, compliance with the following regulations is required:

• Recommendation by teachers

• A student at ECS for at least one semester

• Excellent character qualities

• Leadership ability

• Promoter of school spirit

• “Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.”

• Good attendance record
