Middle School

Welcome to Middle School at ECS

Grades 6–8 | Christ-Centered. Academically Rigorous. Personally Impactful.

Middle school is a unique and transformative time in a student’s life—a season of growing independence, self-discovery, and spiritual development. At Evangelical Christian School (ECS), our middle school program is designed to nurture this growth through caring faculty, accelerated academics, and opportunities for leadership and character development, all rooted in the truth of God’s Word.

Our dedicated teachers seek Godly wisdom as they embrace the special opportunity to educate the whole child—spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially. By encouraging responsibility, independence, and initiative, we help students become self-motivated learners who grow exponentially during these critical years.

Christ-Centered Academics

Students in grades 6–8 receive a comprehensive education filtered through a biblical worldview, equipping them to become leaders who will impact the culture for Christ. Our curriculum is designed to strengthen the academic foundation built in elementary school while preparing students for the rigor of high school.

Core subjects include:

  • Bible

  • Math

  • Science

  • English

  • Heritage Studies (History)

  • Physical Education

In 7th and 8th grade, students may also enroll in Advanced Honors courses in Math and Science, designed to challenge and inspire higher-level thinking and academic excellence.

Engaging with Technology

ECS integrates technology into instruction through our 1:1 iPad program, enhancing student engagement and individualized learning. Students and teachers utilize platforms such as Nearpod, Apple Classroom, Canvas, and other digital curriculum tools to promote collaboration and creativity across subject areas.

Athletics, Arts, and Leadership

Beyond academics, students are encouraged to explore their God-given talents through a wide variety of co-curricular opportunities that develop confidence, character, and community.

Opportunities include:

  • Athletics

  • Fine Arts (Art, Band, Choir)

  • Service Projects

  • Bible Studies

  • Junior National Honor Society

  • Student Government

  • Monthly Team-Building Activities

  • Weekly Chapel Services

  • Educational Field Trips

  • Aquaponics Lab

These experiences are designed to help students grow not only as learners, but as servant-leaders with a heart for others.
